Bob Dylan has just released, of all things, a Christmas album.
Christmas In the Heart
I'm really not sure what to make of all this (try his Must Be Santa). It might be better than David Archuleta's album of nearly the same name, but he ain't no Mitch Miller or Burl Ives when it comes to kicking out the Christmas tunes.
At least it's for charity... For samples and commentary, listen to:
Is Dylan's Heart Really In This 'Christmas'?
For those not especially enamored of Dylan's vocal "style," or who favor the sacred over the secular in any case, hey, there's always Pope Benedict's album coming out on November 29th...

Yeah, I have been waiting to check this out. The review is interesting, but let me state something: I like "Little Drummer Boy." I don't care what anyone says.
I've been listening to the samples on Amazon. It's something else. I especially like "Adeste Fideles." Now that I have heard Bob sing in Latin, my life is complete.
Hi Liam,
That would have been a good icebreaker to bring up at the Medieval Iberia Workshop.

I'm with you! I don't know why LDB gets such a bad rap. The Rankin-Bass TV version even had Jose Ferrer and Greer Garson in it.
